The answers to the most frequently asked questions


There are two scenarios:

If you are an individual, you can create an account on our site which will allow you to finalize an order, track the status of your order and view your order history. 

If you are a professional and your professional status has been validated as such, you can also create an account on our site which will give you access to the dedicated rate. But you will not be able to finalize your purchases directly on the site at the rate dedicated to you. To do this, you will need to get in touch with the Mis en Demeure teams at the following address: contact@misendemeure.com.

Customer accounts are tailor-made by our sales team, we are committed to responding to you as quickly as possible. However, if you have not received a confirmation email, contact us using the form and we will investigate to find out what is delaying your access.


The tracking of your order can be viewed in real time in your customer area, in the "My Orders" section.

On the day your order is shipped, you will receive your parcel number and the carrier link by e-mail which will allow you to follow the delivery steps.

Our customer service is also at your disposal to check the status and progress of your order and answer your questions.

All credit card payments are 100% secured by the Stripe platform, in accordance with French and international interbank security measures. Stripe allows Internet users to shop online safely and with complete peace of mind.

Once your order has left our warehouse for you, your invoice will be available on your customer account. To view it, simply log into your account and go to the "My orders" section.

Delivery times are indicated in the technical sheet of each product.

Most of our furniture and upholstery are produced to order and are advertised with an average lead time of 6 to 8 weeks. Depending on the availability of wood furniture and the origin of the fabrics, this time may vary.

The average delivery time for products we have in stock is 10 days.

The delivery options are detailed in the Delivery & Return document, located in the footer of the home page of our site.

Initially, we deliver only in France (Corsica included under specific conditions, except DOM-TOM).

In the event of delivery to another country, thank you for contacting our Customer Service to specifically study your request.

Returns and exchanges

If you defect is visible at the time of delivery (for example by damaged packaging), we invite you to take a photo and refuse delivery, indicating the reservations on the delivery slip.

If you see a defect after unpacking the item, you have a maximum of 3 days to contact us. We will find the most satisfactory solution for you: the replacement or repair of the item, the free reship of a new compliant item, or the refund.

Customer satisfaction is paramount, so if not, you can return your items.

After receipt, you have 14 calendar days to inform us of your wish to return one or more items. Returned items must be in perfect condition, in their original packaging.

Once we have received the item and after verification, we will refund, to the original payment method, within a maximum of 14 days.


Mis en Demeure works for the most part with European artisans and its manufacture is entrusted to the best craftsmen of each skill, favoring French production, since this allows to increase the quality of the products.

Furniture and upholstery are made in Spain in the region of Malaga, and earthenware and glassware in the region of Valencia.

Some lights, accessories and mirrors come from Asia where they are exclusively handcrafted, like all Mis en Demeure products.

Wooden furniture

The production of Mis en Demeure furniture is carried out with the greatest respect for cabinetmaking techniques, each piece is manufactured and assembled manually.

All the visible parts of the furniture (the appearance parts) are in solid wood or in noble essence veneer. The non-visible parts are made of solid wood or based on panels. The fragile elements (feet, angles, corners and panel edges) are made of beech, a hardwood species that resists impact while being sculptable. The desk tops, tables, sideboards or chests of drawers are in MDF (Medium Density Fiber) on which is arranged a veneer sheet of oak, beech or northern pine.This process, more technical, allows the tops to be very durable and not to warp with time or climate, as would be the case with solid wood. The drawers and interior furniture are in northern pine.

Some Mis en Demeure furniture comes from Asia for their solid Hevea or Mango wood.

Metal furniture

The painted steel used by Mis en Demeure is untreated against oxidation in order to retain its raw appearance and the patina of time.


All the pendants of Mis en Demeure chandeliers are in glass, the lamp bases in metal, turned wood or plaster.

The technical sheets on our website give details of the patinas available for each Mis en Demeure product. These variations correspond to the most suitable patinas depending on the style of the furniture.

However, it is possible to order with a different patina than those suggested. Please contact our sales team.

Interview tips

In order to guarantee the hold of the fabrics and the shine of your patinas, Mis en Demeure recommends a healthy maintenance with a simple cloth dampened with water. Avoid the use of chemicals as much as possible.
