Suite Night & Days

Following David Lynch and the Campana Brothers,
Regis Dho is the latest artist to design
the Lutetia Hotel’s new ephemeral suite.

June 2016

In the theme of French art-de-vivre and art of hospitality,
Mis en Demeure has created a bespoke luxury suite.

The hotel was built in 1910 because Madame Boucicaut - owner of Bon Marché -, wished to ensure the standard of accommodation offered to her clients travelling into the city from outside of Paris. The Lutetia is now one of the most sought after hotels in Paris. Mis en Demeure was chosen by the designer Regis Dho, to bring out the understated luxury and enhance the discreet French-style comfort of this this architectural jewel.

Mis en Demeure have achieved a really bespoke project in Suite, where the furniture has been transformed from their traditional uses. For example, the solid pine Bastide chest of draws has become a mini bar; and the solid beechwood Solferino is now being used as a bedside table. Among Mis en Demeure’s more emblematic objects are the handful of brass lion headed lamps which adorn the walls. A tranquil setting, protected from the surrounding tumult of Parisian life. Inspired by the palace’s jazz background, it immerses visitors in a cocoon of blacks, grays and turquoises.

Chic and contemporary, this suite exudes the fullness of timeless classic spaces. The modern dynamics of the fabric colours gently contrast with the discrete patinas of the furniture, in this space which is as adapted to relaxing as it is to receptions.

At the heart of the 6th arrondissement, opposite our boutique on rue du Cherche-Midi, the Lutetia Hotel’s hospitality and Mis en Demeures warm values are perfectly in tune with one another, creating a feeling of exceptional art de vivre.
